Venus Bay No. One Beach is the most southern of the five access points to Venus Bay Beach, located within Cape Liptrap Coastal Park, situated 10 minutes from Tarwin Lower Township. The beach is accessed via Surf Dve. 25kms of open beach can be accessed from this location. Popular activities include fishing, surfing, kite surfing, beach walks and photography.

Beach conditions include rough surf and strong currents. No. 1 beach is the only surf lifesaving patrolled beach within Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and is patrolled between December and April. Patrol times vary and are subject to change. For more information visit the beachsafe website. Public Rescue Equipment is located at the beach’s access point. The equipment comprises a call button that enables direct link to emergency services and a rescue tube that can be used by strong swimmers or trained personnel such as lifesavers to conduct a rescue.

Parking caters for over 200 vehicles, with toilet and beach shower facilities available, as well as rubbish bins.

Dog restrictions apply seasonally. Dogs are permitted (on lead) between Venus Bay No. 1 Beach and Venus Bay No. 5 Beach at all times except between 1st December and 31st March, when dogs are only permitted in the area before 9am and after 6pm.
