Project status

October 2022: Complete.

The project

As part of our ongoing jetty maintenance program, we regularly assess the condition of maritime structures through technical inspections. A recent inspection identified a timber section of San Remo jetty which has deteriorated, requiring some maintenance repair works to be undertaken.

The scope of works was the replacement of approximately 60 decking boards and a number of timber beams and capping beams. The repairs were delivered to a deteriorated section of the jetty's outer arm.

These works have been delivered and will prolong the life of this busy jetty, ensuring this important maritime asset remains safe and open for the community to enjoy, while supporting the important local commercial fishing industry.

Project funding and partners

The works were funded by the Victorian Government as part of ongoing maritime asset maintenance and repairs.
