The project
This project is being delivered on Dja Dja Wurrung country by DJANDAK ( a DJAARA enterprise).
The project aims to upgrade trails, enhance accessibility, and foster a seamless connection between Dja Dja Wurrung culture and health and wellbeing experiences in the park.
The Argyle Spring Walking Track has been identified as a priority for upgrade. The works will include resurfacing, replanting, and weed control. Additionally, pause points will be created along the walk to allow visitors to stop, appreciate nature, and reflect on the cultural significance of the park. These pause points will feature interpretive signage, furniture, and sculptures designed by Djaara artists, enhancing opportunities for people to connect with both culture and nature.
Track enhancement works are also being delivered to improve a range of other tracks across the park.
This project aims to support the delivery of the Joint Management Plan for Dja Dja Wurrung Parks, which sets out strategic management directions and was developed after thorough community and stakeholder input.
