Budj Bim Cultural Landscape
Experience Gunditjmara Country. The Budj Bim Cultural Landscape in south-west Victoria contains the earliest living example of aquaculture in the world, with a history of eel farming dating back over 6,000 years.It is the only World Heritage area listed exclusively for its Aboriginal cultural values. The precinct, which includes the Budj Bim National Park, contains a number of locations where visitors can explore ancient heritage values that demonstrate how Gunditjmara people worked with the natural resources and lived in the environment.

The award-winning cultural centre in Halls Gap is a place where people can celebrate and learn about the Aboriginal cultural heritage of the Gariwerd cultural landscape, which includes Grampians National Park. The cultural centre is managed in associated with Gariwerd Traditional Owner corporations – Barengi Gadjin Land Council, Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation.
Den of Nargun and Buchan Caves
The Gunaikurnai People invite you to visit the Den of Nargun in Mitchell River National Park and Buchan Caves. These are culturally important sites in parks that are jointly managed by Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation and Parks Victoria.
They are part of Bataluk cultural trail, where you can explore and discover dreamtime stories, traditional lifestyles and the impact of European settlement. The trail follows significant traditional routes used by the Gunaikurnai people for over 30,000 years.
