Accessibility
Visiting a park can be more of a challenge for people with disabilities, however, in Victoria there are a wide range of facilities to help people of all abilities enjoy our wonderful parks around the state. Parks Victoria provides a range of a equipment, including all-terrain and beach wheelchairs, facilities, accommodation and accessibility information and programs to help you plan and enjoy your visit to Victoria's parks.
Assistance dogs are welcome in Parks Victoria parks and reserves. Entry requirements apply for parks and reserves that are usually dog prohibited, such as national parks.

Maribyrnong River Trail Closures
Maribyrnong Valley Parklands Brimbank ParkParts of the Maribyrnong River Trail have been closed due to flood damage. From Brimbank Park Car Park C picnic area to Solomon’s Ford (Canning St) the track is closed due to landslips, damaged tracks, potential hazardous trees, and exposure to hazardous materials. There is no access to the Maribyrnong River Trail between Car Park picnic area and Canning St. -

Access changes during Urban Parks Active Wellbeing Program upgrade
Works to upgrade picnic facilities as part of the Urban Parks Active Wellbeing Program have started.During these works, access to picnic tables, barbecues and shelters will be limited or closed.For more information about these upgrades please visit the Parks Victoria Project Page, or contact the Parks Victoria team at engage@parks.vic.gov.au or call 13 1963. -
Notices Affecting Multiple Parks
Green Gully Remediation Works
Over coming months there will be works within Brimbank Park to remediate areas where asbestos containing material was observed. This includes a combination of permanent fencing, pest management, asbestos removal and revegetation. There may be localised closures or diversion in place during these works, please observe all signs and direction from Parks Victoria staff.
