Bushrangers Bay offers a secluded sandy beach with breathtaking views and abundant wildlife. Hike through the Coast Banksia Woodlands to glimpse panoramic vistas as you explore this remote and wild coastline.

Start your journey with a picnic surrounded by beautiful Coast Banksias at Bushrangers Bay Picnic Area. Then follow the walking track 2.5km one way, as it winds above Main Creek to the serene sandy shores of Bushrangers Bay. This spectacular secluded bay is surrounded by basalt cliffs brooding headlands and pounded by the rough surf of the Bass Strait.

Alternatively, Bushrangers Bay can be accessed from the Cape Schanck Lighthouse precinct. This trail 2.6km one way Grade 3 terrain, travels along the windy cliff tops spotting some of the most spectacular coastal scenery within proximity to Melbourne.

Although beautiful, Bushrangers Bay is a dangerous swimming beach with unpredictable rips, currents and large waves. Swimming is hazardous and not recommended due to strong rips and large waves. The beach is unpatrolled and remote with limited access for emergency services.
