Lalgambook (Mt Franklin) is a significant place for the Djadja Wurrung people. A unique experience in a small volcanic crater that offers an ideal place for a picnic or short term basic camping set amongst plantings of huge conifers and deciduous trees ablaze with colour in Autumn that create an exotic atmosphere.

Sailors Falls Loop walk track maintenance
From Tuesday the 19th
January to Friday the 22nd January 2021, the concrete footbridge and
section of the sailors falls loop walking track are closed for maintenance.
Access to the lower mineral springs is still available via the
western side of the Sailor’s falls Loop Track (2km return walk, 30 minutes). Access to the lower falls viewing areas and the Goldfields Track remains as normal
