Notley Camping and Picnic Area (Greater Bendigo National Park)

Notley Camping and Picnic Area (Greater Bendigo National Park)

This large open grassy campground is the perfect spot for families and groups looking for a semi-bush camping experience with the convenience of toilets, fireplaces (with grills) and a large picnic shelter with tables.

Sometimes referred to as the Whipstick Campground, the Notley Camping Area offers a relaxed setting with plenty of wildlife. Surrounded by Box-Ironbark forest, it is located not far from Shadbolts Picnic Area and the Flagstaff Hill and Old Tom Mine walking tracks.

Accessibility: the ground is reasonably even and the picnic tables have been located on a grassy area close to the parking (level ground with compacted gravel), and designed to accommodate wheelchair users. Access may be restricted after heavy rain. The non-flush toilets are not wheelchair accessible: cubicles are less than 1500mm wide and without handrails. They are located approximately 60m from the picnic area along a compacted path with a slight slope at the entrance with a gradient of 1:12. No hand-washing facilities are provided.
